As somebody who LOVES structure, the idea of ‘free’ inquiry has posed a few problems with getting started. I have finally been able to narrow down my thoughts to two options, though they are both still running under working titles.
- The importance of horses as therapeutic animals – I have been
riding horses for over 20 years (yikes!) and over the last few I was able to take this passion into the world of volunteering. I have spent time working alongside some incredible people at the Victoria Therapeutic Riding Association and would love to share this passion with others! https://www.vtra.ca/ - Fish Hatcheries, specifically for salmon species – As a former fishing guide, and a lifelong fishing addict this is something that hits close to home to me and many of my friends. We have had many
discussions, some educated and some emotion-based about the pros, cons and in-betweens of fish hatcheries. I have also spent time volunteering with the Goldstream Hatchery and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Both of these organizations are so important to me and are things I hope to continue with once school is not taking up all of my time… Maybe I will just need to flip a coin in the end.
